Mark Barratt

Information designer with short attention span

I am an information designer, a partner in Text Matters.

My history is variously as a journalist, typographer, editor, film-maker and consultant on effective communication, electronic publishing & process management.

In about 1977 I caught the computer-enthusiasm bug and have been variously involved in text processing, markup languages, desktop publishing, multiple-media publishing and web applications ever since.

I've worked in and volunteered for not-for-profit organisations of a variety of shapes, sizes and intents for most of my life, occasionally as a manager or leader, sometimes out in the cold wearing not enough socks.
