In many areas, public authorities are awarding large contracts, often requiring providers to work in partnership to deliver multiple and complex outcomes. Voluntary organisations have responded to this by setting up different types of consortia.
This course will cover:
- commissioning environment
- operating models
- legal structures
- influencing commissioners
- engaging members
- oversight of all the policies and procedures that a new consortium needs to prepare to become contract ready.
By the end of the day you will:
- understand reasons why VCSE orgs are thinking about developing consortia (drivers)
- understand the most common structures and legal forms that consortia adopt
- gain awareness of factors that could affect the success of a VCSE consortium – positively and negatively.
- we will draw on examples of good practice and lessons learned, and we will provide you with a bundle of information resources and templates that you can use.
