Digital skills for campaigners: online mobilisation and using social media

If you are managing mobilisation campaigns and uncertain if you have everything covered, this is the training for you. The course will provide a framework for planning online mobilisation. It will also suggest approaches for putting this knowledge into practice through individual and group work.

The course will aim to provide participants with a framework and tips for online mobilisation planning and implementation. It will look at elements that influence campaign planning such as old and new planning models, audience profiling, campaign milestones and content. Training will also focus on applying strategic approaches to social media, and will provide examples and practical tips on how to use social media for campaigning. 

Outcomes

By the end of the day you will have learned how to:

  • plan and organise online mobilisation 
  • provide clear digital mobilisation briefs to your digital team or digital agencies
  • use social media for campaigning in a strategic way.

Trainer

Branislava  Milosevic is a digital communications strategist with over a decade's experience in the UK charity sector. She acquired her digital leadership, fundraising and campaigning experience at some of Britain's largest charities. Branislava has coordinated digital specialists in the charity sector to support campaigns such as Make Poverty History. She has developed and implemented public mobilisation strategies for a number of non-government organisation campaigns. She is a regular contributor to NCVO’s Certificate in Campaigning.
