Our story

Turning 30 is a big thing for those of us still wanting to act as and be known as ‘youngsters’. For example, partying hard is now a couple of drinks at the local and still getting to bed the right side of midnight, mad house parties are now having friends over for dinner, brief flings have been replaced with stable and meaningful relationships and being responsible for our own wellbeing for some of us now also includes taking responsibility for our children’s wellbeing.

Things have changed a lot, and to mark such a turning point in our lives, the three of us have wanted to take on a challenge that will be a one off and mark the ‘turning 30’ milestone.

Together we have decided to row the Thames (non-tidal – remember we now have responsibilities) from Cricklade near Cirencester to Teddington Lock in London. It is 135 miles-ish and we will do it in 4 days starting from the 1st of July.

We will be doing this for Charity, in aid of Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital (GOSH) a Charity that does fantastic work to support the child patients and their families through some extremely difficult times.

We hope that you will dig deep and donate via the link below and track our progress on this site as we prepare for and take on our challenge.
