The road to increased efficiency is often perceived as a journey where data and its collection feel like an obstacle rather than a compass for navigating through the maze of service design decisions. But it does not have to be this way. Data can be a critical friend’ to everyone in your organisation, from frontline staff to senior management and stakeholders; data is what can help you to focus on what works and to make informed, evidence-led decisions 

This seminar will explore not only how data (from data on service user needs to existing evidence, as well as impact data) can be your most powerful ally, but also how a purposeful and proportionate use of data, along with a strong culture and strategy tailored around both data and impact lifecycles, can make your organisation become more effective.  

This is relevant to you if you are: 

  • Frontline and Operationsto understand why it is important to collect data consistently, how data on needs, evidence and user feedback can improve service delivery and to learn more about the short, medium and long-term impact of your organisation’s work;
  • Management and Leadership—to gain meaningful insights on your charity’s daily activities and performance, the impact of your charity’s work and how you are responding to needs, the positive and negative effects beneficiaries may experience, to make evidence-led decisions, to collaborate, to advocate and to disseminate;
  • Marketing, Communications and Campaigning—to improve your ability to ‘tell the charity’s story’, to raise more awareness of the needs being tackled as well as of the organisation’s achievement and positive, lasting effects experienced by beneficiaries, to increase the quality and quantity of case studies;
