About your trainers
Ruth Lesirge
Ruth is a senior visiting fellow at Cass Business School's Centre for Charity Effectiveness, where she heads the governance practice consultancy. An experienced voluntary sector leader and trustee, she has served as the chief executive of both a UK front-line elder care and residential services organisation and a national policy and research foundation. She has over 35 years' experience of working with public and third sector organisations, including Help the Hospices, Citizens Advice, Macmillan Cancer Care, Victim Support and British Red Cross.
Ros Oakley
Ros is executive director of the Association of Chairs, and was formerly chair of Charities Evaluation Services. She is also an associate of the governance practice at Cass Business School's Centre for Charity Effectiveness, and a visiting fellow at London South Bank University. Ros has wide ranging experience working in and with the voluntary sector with experience in public policy, governance, strategy and fundraising. She has a particular interest in effectiveness and sustainability.
