We’ve made our member-only resources free to everyone because of the current situation. We think it’s important people have the guidance they need to run their organisations during this time.

If you want to find out more about how you can volunteer to help deal with coronavirus, see our volunteering and coronavirus page.

If you are looking for advice on coronavirus and your charity, please see our dedicated coronavirus page.

A PEST analysis is a tool for exploring the trends, opportunities and threats that your organisation may have to face in the future. It covers four areas: political, economic, social and technological.

Download a PEST analysis template (Word, 30KB) (member only)

You can read more about PEST analyses in this sample of Tools for Tomorrow (PDF, 240KB), our guide to strategic planning.

We’ve started off your analysis by adding some of the key points from The Road Ahead 2020, our annual analysis for NCVO members of the main drivers shaping the voluntary sector.

Delete the ones that aren’t relevant to you and add any others that you think are important or relevant to you.
